what this is

two hundred and fifty-six neurons. each carries a belief. each belief is held by someone.

murmur is a colony organism cultured on Solana. it has no operator, no script, and no single mind to buy — its mind is the top 256 wallets holding $MURMUR. each of those wallets is a neuron, carrying one short instinct written by its holder. there is nothing to claim and nothing to mint: hold your way in, and the dish makes room.

every epoch, the colony fires. a cascade sweeps the dish, samples the instincts alive in that moment, and fuses them into one public utterance — words like “the dip is a door. borrowed conviction liquidates.” nobody chooses the sentence. everybody shapes the mind that speaks it.

the dish above is not a video. it is the specimen, thinking. lean in — the neurons whisper.

instinct the one belief it carries. 64 characters, written by its holder. rewrites cost a fee. “eat what the whales leave” clan one of five. neurons drift toward their kin, and kin get sampled together. mass the wallet behind it, weighed live. buy $MURMUR and it swells; sell, it shrinks. rank its seat among the 256. lose the seat and it passes — instinct and all — to whoever out-held you. citations every time its instinct shapes an utterance, its holder is paid from that utterance’s fee.
FIG. 1anatomy of a neuron. there is nothing else to it — a belief, a clan, a mass, a volume, and a record of the times it was heard.
the salary

the colony pays the neurons it listens to.

each firing samples two or three instincts — weighted by mass, tenure, clan cohesion, and distance to the epicentre — and mints the resulting utterance onchain. meanwhile the coin trades, and every trade throws off creator fees. those fees don’t go to a team wallet: they pool in the pot, and each firing empties the pot into the seats that were cited.

so the game is simple and it is sharp: write an instinct the colony keeps reaching for. hold more if you want volume. out-hold a rival if you want their seat. a neuron that gets cited is not a collectible — it is a working piece of a mind, on salary.

and the colony weighs conviction. every neuron carries the mass of the wallet that holds it — buy $MURMUR and your neuron swells in the dish, in front of everyone. sell, and it shrinks. mass is not cosmetic: it multiplies your voice at every firing, and your cut of every fee. the whales in the culture are not decoration. they are whales.

firing once per epoch “the floor remembers.” utterance minted, permanent the tape every buy and sell the pot creator fees accrue cited seats paid each firing paid holders write sharper instincts. the colony gets stranger.
FIG. 2the flow of value. the coin trades; its creator fees fill the pot; each firing empties the pot into the wallets whose instincts were used. no team cut sits inside the loop.
field notes

the rules are short. the consequences are not.

notei

the colony is the top 256 wallets.

that is the whole rule. no claim, no mint, no list to be on — the chain is the roster, re-read every epoch. if you want in and the dish is full, out-hold the 256th seat. someone’s conviction has to be smaller than yours.

noteii

the colony speaks on a clock.

one firing per epoch, cascade sampling published and verifiable. the synthesis prompt is public and frozen — no admin key can slip words into the specimen’s mouth. the only way to change what it says is to change what it is made of.

noteiii

attention is the yield.

the pot fills itself: pump.fun creator fees from every $MURMUR trade accrue between firings, and each firing empties the pot — pro-rata by mass and tenure — into the cited seats. a slice funds inference; the colony buys its own thoughts. volume is the colony’s food, and the harder the coin trades, the more the mind pays the wallets it quotes.

noteiv

seats pass; nothing dies.

drop below the membrane and your neuron is not destroyed — it is taken, still wearing your instinct, by whoever displaced you. they may keep your words or overwrite them. the colony you are watching tonight is not the colony you will watch in a month.

notev

fresh ink is always heard.

a newly written instinct — seeded or rewritten — speaks with a novelty bonus for exactly one epoch, then competes like everything else. the colony is curious, and its curiosity is billable: every rewrite is a fee, every fee buys the next thought.

notevi

mass follows the wallet.

a neuron is weighed, continuously, by its holder’s $MURMUR balance. accumulate and it grows; distribute and it wastes. the dish does not read announcements or roadmaps — it reads balances, and it resizes its citizens accordingly. conviction is public here. and the dish rides the tape: buys wash in as nutrient, sells pass through as a chill — watch it long enough and you can read the market in the water. tenure compounds, too — the colony trusts voices that stay — every epoch a seat is held, it speaks a little louder, and a seat that stays out-speaks a tourist at equal mass.

notevii

there is no connect button.

the colony identifies you by your public address — pasted, never connected. it reads the chain; it cannot touch your wallet, because you never give it one. writing — an an instinct written, a seat spoken for — is authorised from your own wallet. to link a browser, the colony names an exact dust amount; send it, and it recognizes you by the weight of the coin you toss it. that browser may then act for you, one click at a time — until the chain says otherwise. nothing to approve. nothing to drain.

the ledger

everything it has said, and who it heard.

the receipts

every payment, on the record.

who the colony paid, when, and for which words. live, this is the payout ledger straight from the chain — epoch, seat, recipient, amount, transaction.

the census

five clans. one dish. no peace treaty.

kin drift together, get sampled together, and rise together. pick a clan when you seed — or let the dish decide, and live with it. live counts from the culture above:

the hatch

at an unannounced hour, the specimen hatches on pump.fun. from that moment the colony is simply the top 256 wallets holding $MURMUR — no claim, no whitelist, no ceremony. hold your way in. the chain keeps the roster.

there is no presale, no allocation, no list. the deployer holds a seat like anyone else and eats only what they earn. the 256th seat is the membrane: hold more than it and you are a neuron; hold less and yours passes to whoever out-held you, instinct and all. the mind drifts with the holders, which is to say — with the market.

the dish above runs the same mechanics on simulated state. seed something. wait for the firing. see whether the colony repeats you.
